The World Health Organization recognizes Homeopathy as the second most practiced alternative form of medicine worldwide. Homeopathy is a complete system of medicine based on scientific principles that have been clinically tested for more than 200 years. Homeopathy takes into account not only the medical diagnosis, but also your complete symptoms including mental, emotional, and physical complaints. The appropriate remedy is then chosen to help boost your vital force. In turn, it strengthens the immune system enabling your body to overcome what is ailing it. Homeopathy is highly effective, non toxic and has no side effects.

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a very complex medical science. It is based on the principle of 'like cures like', meaning that a substance that can create a disease would be able to cure the same disease. An example of this would be the symptoms of watery, burning eyes and sneezing while cutting an onion. A homeopathic remedy made of onion extract will cure the above symptoms in a patient who has a cold or suffers from hay fever. The goal of the homeopathic practitioner is to discover each patient's unique pattern of imbalance and match it with a specific remedy. When the correct remedy has been selected, the body will heal itself. Homeopathy is powerful, safe and effective medical system that requires commitment from both the patient and physician, especially if it is a chronic health issue that is being addressed.

"I am a Classical Homeopath registered with the Ontario College of Homeopaths. Classical Homeopathy is an individualized medicine using your particular symptoms to find the correct remedy.

What is a Homeopathic Treatment Like?

A homeopathic treatment begins with the physician taking the patient's complete case. This includes complete medical history, past history and a general review of their current physical nature, sensitivities and personality. The initial visit or consultation is approximately 2 hours in length and allows the patient to fully describe themselves, their symptoms and share their problems and concerns. It is of the utmost importance that the patient is as open and honest as possible with the practitioner. All information collected during the consultation will be kept strictly confidential. After a very detailed and in-depth analysis of the information provided, a homeopathic remedy will be prescribed. The correct remedy will trigger the healing process in the body. The patient's progress is monitored by 30 to 60 minute follow up visits. In acute cases there may only be one follow-up. In chronic cases, depending on your condition and how you respond to the remedy, there could be extended follow-up visits.
